My favorite story and Aunt Mary's happens when Aunt Mary and my mother, Patricia were students at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Aunt Mary introduced my mom to her brother, Bob, my father. And as they say - the rest is history. Mom and Dad were married in 1954. Aunt Mary loved her brother, Bob, that is for sure!! As kids, we always enjoyed visiting the family on the farm
I went to nursing school, too, graduating from St. E in 1980 and lived in the same dorm room that Aunt Mary had stayed 27 years earlier. I enjoyed going to the school reunions and sitting with the ladies from Mom and Aunt Mary's class and listening to their stories
Recently, she would worry about Greg and I when we would be out hunting in their woods. She always had a place for us to stay overnight if the weather was bad. We always knew we could count on that!! We enjoyed several Saturday evenings after Mass eating pizza and goodies before heading back to our hunting! Great memories!
We loved Aunt Mary and will miss her greatly!! Prayers for the family always!
Love, Anne and Greg McCune
