I may not have grown up in the town of Fair Oaks but I did spent my childhood summers there. For those of you that know my grandfather would say he was a Growlier and very sturn ole man but for us grandkids we can tell you that wasnt so. These man was as gentle as a lamb. The love that my gandparents had was one that I hope I can have with Mike for the years to come. The love that they had for their children is the love that I want my son to feel. On that being stated I would like to share a couple of memories that i have.
The first being that I truely thought that Fishers was so far away from Fair Oaks but as I grew up I found out that Fishers is only 5 minutes from Fair Oaks. As a child it would take my grandfather 30 to 35 minutes for him to go there and get a pack of cigarettes. When at the most it should of only takin like 15 and that with having a conversation for a few minutes.
The second but funniest memory was when David, Richard and I were at gramma annd grampas house and we all were in their kitchen/dining room and Richarrd was standing there with his headset on and was singing very softly to himself. I know this doesn't sound that funny right now but please keep in mind that my grandfather does not realize that Richard has his headset on. When the song got tothis certain part Richard belted out But this ole man is a real mfer so dont waste your time. Oh my let me tell you Pappa got mad as H E double hockey sticks.. Gramma and David and I had to explain that he was singing a song.
Those are just a couple of memories I could go on forever as I have lots of memories. I will always charish the memories that I have in my heart.
I will always miss and love you Pappa, but I do have comfort that knewing you are at everlasting peace and health in heaven with Gramma and Aunt Julie..Please give them hugs and kisses from me. (3 in a row remember for gramma)
I love you and miss you already
