Condolence: was very sorry to hear of a true legends passing. he was a businessman but first a racer n felt the financial heartaches of other drivers and when i needed parts for my car id go the the yard and boy he never said it but the price he'd tell u they were, you knew he was helping a racer out. a tue legend on n off the track. the racing community thanks you and yours for your support and being able to watch you. god SPEED my friend

Condolence: So sorry for your family's loss. My grandpa Cecil Hoaks used to live across the road from your house years ago, we would always go down to your house and play in the junk yard with Dickie and Cathy. My uncle John also did a lot of work over the years for Dick. Elmer Hoaks was my dad,he used to race with Dick back in the 60's. He is gonna be missed by lots, he was a great man and the king of late model dirt track racing, he was always my all-time favorite. Anytime he was on the track I would not take my eyes off of the track because I was amazed just how good he drove that stock car. I was totally heart broken when I heard the news, will keep the family in our thoughts and prayers!!

Condolence: I send my sympathies to the entire Potts family at this time. We truly lost a real racing legend this week. My heart breaks, for Dick Potts was my all time favorite dirt track driver. I loved that man and his racing abilities! Dick will truly be missed! I'm thankful to have been able to meet him after all the years of watching him race. God bless your family.

Condolence: To the family, I am sorry for your loss. he will truly be missed. I enjoyed listening to the stories and seeing the star in his eye as he told them when I visit him for parts at the junk yard. He was a good man and he lived a great life. Me left a legacy that most men only dream of having. His memory will never die or be forgotten.
