Obituary for Judith L. Misiora (Fleming)

Judith L. Misiora, 78, of Rockville, IN, formerly of Morocco, IN, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Hospice of the Wabash Valley in Terre Haute. She was born in Morocco on December 12, 1939, the daughter of James and Mildred (Hansen) Fleming. She was a graduate of Morton High School in Hammond. On November 28, 1959, in East Chicago, she married John C. Misiora.

Judy was a beautician and worked as a supervisor at Permonite Manufacturing in Morocco. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed reading and crocheting. She loved being outdoors: gardening, growing flowers, and bird watching. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and managing her son and daughter-in-law’s bait and tackle shop, D & L Sporting Goods, near Raccoon Lake. Most of all, Judy loved being with her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her loving family: her husband of 58 years, John Misiora, Sr.; two sons, John (Karen) Misiora, Jr. and Leon (Kathy) Misiora; three daughters: Julie (Richard) Stahl, Janie (Brian) Michael, and Joanie (Troy) Piatt; daughter-in-law Luann Misiora; twelve grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, James and Mildred Fleming; her sister, Shari Nicholas; and her son, David Misiora.
