Condolence: All of the family has our condolences and sympathy. We went to school and have pretty much known where Dixie was most of his life. He had some very colorful times and everyone that met him remembered him. He loved to tell stories and was good at it and his laugh was easy to listen to and was hardy deep one and everyone laughed with him. He had lots of health issues but was able to keep his head up and find a way to make it work. He will be remembered and missed. I met Tim and we worked together on projects and I was able to stay in touch with Dixie through Tim.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to my cousin's family. I remember days gone by growing up as a child visiting the family in Morocco. It was always a time of warmth, hugs and laughter. May God grant Dixie joy beyond measure and his family peace and comfort in the days ahead.

Condolence: Hearing of Dixie's passing really hits home. I haven't seen him since 1961 when we moved to St. Louis. When I lived in Brook, Dixie was legendary. I remember his cars, mainly his black Ford and then that Pontiac. He cruised our main street & was just cool. He was nice & pleasant and many of us wanted to be like him. His brother, Eddie, was cool & equally nice. I'm feeling my mortality, today. He was our kind of hero. Hearing of his passing is a wake up call. But Dixie is where he was meant to be. I have this picture in my mind of him cruising up to the Pearly Gates in one of his cars. St. Peter looks at him, says, "Welcome, Dixie, we've been waiting." And then, he waves him through. Wishing you smooth, straight roads, forever, Dixie. This guy will miss you.
