Obituary for Easter Mae Williamson

Easter Mae Williamson, 89, of Mt. Ayr, Indiana passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Rensselaer Care Center. She was born in Smithland, Kentucky on April 17, 1927, the daughter of John and Annie (Wiley) Williamson. She grew up in Brookport, Illinois and moved to Indiana in 1951.

Easter was a homemaker. Her marriage was to Troy Williamson. He preceded her in death in 1999. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed baking, gardening, fishing, quilting, playing cards, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by five children: Delores Agent, Mitchell (Debra) Williamson, Margie (Larry) Burman, Justin Williamson, and Annie Williamson; ten grandchildren: DeDe, Royle, Darion, Damon, Sean, Tracy, Troy, Austin, Elizabeth, and Alexander; 15 great-grandchildren: Bo, Colton, Wyatt, Kieren, McKayla, Evie, Tyler, Clayton, Cody, Shelby, Graci, Zoe, Chase, Ethan, and Hayleigh; and one great-great-granddaughter, Willow.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Troy; two brothers, George and Homer Williamson; half-brother Herbert Layhew; and son-in-law Leroy Agent.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 12-2 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer with Jim Michal officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Morocco.
