Obituary for David Lynn Reynolds

David Lynn Reynolds
David Lynn Reynolds, 61, of Remington, passed out of this life and into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, January 15, 2017. He was born in Kittery, Maine on January 30, 1955, the son of John R. and Helen J. (VanMeter) Reynolds.

Dave studied Forestry at Purdue University. There he met the love of his life, Marlene R. Cromer. They were married at a wheelchair basketball game in Wolcott on January 29, 1983. Dave was known coast to coast for his 30+ years with the Lafayette Spinners wheelchair basketball team. Everyone knew #15, the “Big Man”.

Dave was one of a kind. His sense of humor would have your sides splitting in laughter. His humor, honesty and loyalty will be forever remembered by his friends and family.

He loved to study God’s Word. And now he has the answers to all of his questions. “Trouble, trouble set me free.”

Dave is survived by his loving family: wife Marlene Reynolds of Remington; daughter KLynn Reynolds (fiancé: Dwight Spencer) of Lafayette; adopted daughter Amber (Ramon) Williamson of Lafayette; brother Dana Reynolds of Lafayette; sisters Charlotte Droll of Burlington, Indiana and Jackie McCauley of Winter Haven, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service for Dave will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 12 p.m. (EST) at the Faith Christian Tabernacle, 4911 W. 1100 S, Rensselaer, IN 47978. Dr. James W. Blanchard officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. Share memories and condolences online at www.SteinkeFuneralHome.com.
