Obituary for Brenda Sue Buckalew (Williams)
Brenda Sue Buckalew, 57, of Rensselaer, passed away at her home early Sunday morning, December 4, 2016 after a brief illness. She was born in Knox on November 12, 1959, daughter of the late Bert and Eva Mae (Begley) Williams.
Brenda worked as a pharmacy technician at CVS Pharmacy in Rensselaer. She loved animals, especially her Lhasa Apso “Brucie”, and was a member of the ASPCA. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, jewelry, reading, and especially spending time with her family.
On October 23, 2007, Brenda married Michael S. Buckalew, Sr. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Brandi (Matthew) Brewer of Avon; step-son Michael Buckalew, Jr.; two grandchildren, Carson and Caden; and four sisters: Janice Kain of Medaryville, Lois (Chuck) Baird of Santa Barbara, California, Phyllis Williams and Cathy Wilhelm, both of Logansport. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her son, Uriah Dobson; and her beloved dog “Brucie”.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 9-11 a.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Bob Rawlins officiating. Interment will be at Smith Cemetery at a later date.
