Obituary for Edna M. Bledsoe (Hayworth)

Edna M.  Bledsoe (Hayworth)
Edna M. Bledsoe, 84, of Rensselaer, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the Rensselaer Care Center. She was born in Brook on August 12, 1931, daughter of the late Paul W. Hayworth and Agnes Ida (Murphy) Hayworth. She was a lifelong area resident.

Edna graduated from Brook High School with the class of 1949. On June 11, 1950, in Brook, she married her husband of 55 years, Richard J. Bledsoe. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2005. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Rensselaer. Edna was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife. She was an excellent cook and she enjoyed watching her four grandsons grow.

Edna is survived by: her daughter, Nancy Nagel (fiancé: Arnie Budreau); son, Douglas J. Bledsoe (wife: Susie); five grandchildren: Tonya Boer (husband: Jason), J.J. Nagel (wife: Jen), Curt Bledsoe (wife: Amy), Chris Healey (husband: Chad), and Tim Bledsoe. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Paul W. and Agnes Ida Hayworth; husband, Richard J. Bledsoe; brother, Don Hayworth; and sister, Marge Humphrey.

Visitation will be Friday, May 6, 2016 from 9-11 a.m. (CDT) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer with Pastor John Hostetter officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
