David A. Sipe, 66, of Morocco, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Franciscan Health Rensselaer. He was born in Rensselaer on May 26, 1949, the son of Edith H. (Hoover) Sipe and the late Gaylen G. Sipe.
David recently began attending classes at CDC Resources in Rensselaer. He attended class twice a week, and enjoyed riding the bus. He was a big Chicago Cubs fan. He made a game out of everything, and he enjoyed pretending to play baseball. He liked watching TV, especially The Weather Channel. His favorite drink was chocolate milk, which he called his “cocoa”. David loved people and never met a stranger. He enjoyed people watching, and he always had a big smile and waved at everyone he met. He loved his family dearly, especially his mother, and he enjoyed playing with his nieces and nephews.
The family greatly appreciates the excellent care provided to David by the people of Franciscan Home Health Care over the years.
David is survived by his loving family: his mother, Edith H. Sipe; two brothers, Ricky Sipe (wife: Bonnie) and Mark Sipe; two sisters, Annette Iseminger (husband: Jeff) and Gayle James (husband: Cary); four nieces; six nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gaylen G. Sipe.
