Obituary for Betty Jane Robinson (Fountain)

Betty  Jane  Robinson (Fountain)
Betty Jane Robinson, 89, of Morocco, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette. She was born in Kankakee County, Illinois on July 2, 1926, daughter of the late Fred and Eva (Egan) Fountain. She graduated from St. Anne High School and was a lifelong area resident. On September 12, 1954, in Morocco, she married her husband of 50 years, Donald Vance Robinson. He preceded her in death in 2004.

Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of the Morocco First United Methodist Church and was a past member of the Homemaker’s Club. In her younger years, Betty and her husband enjoyed traveling. She loved taking photographs. She also enjoyed gardening and growing flowers and helping her husband on the farm. She was an animal lover, and enjoyed her dogs and cats and the farm animals. She worked at the Thrift Shop in downtown Morocco for several years after her husband passed away. Betty was a happy, good-natured person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Betty is survived by her two sons: Larry Robinson (daughter Kristen) and Garry Robinson and his wife Jeanette (daughters: Ashley, Rebecca, Emma Robinson, and Lindsey Hekler/husband: Michael); and two great-grandsons: Rhythm and Forrest Robinson; and one sister, Dorothy Molson. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Don; and her brother-in-law, Albert Molson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. (CDT) at Steinke Funeral Home, 403 N. Front Street, Rensselaer, Indiana 47978. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 10 a.m. (CDT) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Rev. Wayne Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
