Obituary for Albert C. "Buck" Wright

Albert C. "Buck"  Wright
Albert C. Wright, 70, of Rensselaer, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette. He was born in DeMotte on May 5, 1945 to the late Wilmer and Betty Wright. On November 19, 1966, in Gary, he married Katherine “Kathy” Edna Williams. She passed away July 24, 2012.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart for his bravery along with other awards. Albert loved traveling to Florida, karaoke, fishing, visiting the casino, scrapping and stock car races. He married Bobbie Williams on June 10, 2014.

Albert is survived by his wife, Bobbie; children, George Howard Wright and Betty Ann Wright (Patrick); step-children, Anne Steeley (David), Tiffany Steeley, Amber Woolsey (Zach), Kathy Steeley (Doug); grandchildren, Felicia Carter (Will), Jamie Krause (Andrew), Brandy Wright (Tyson), Haley Wright, Jeananne Scott (Jon), Sarah Alba-Lopez (Alfonso) and Patrick Wright (Trish); 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Sherman Wright (Kay), Pete Wright (Angie) and Charlie Wright (Sheryl); brother-in-law, John Williams (Melody); sister-in-law, Janey Luttrell (Jeff); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine; son Albert, Jr.; his parents; his mother-in-law, Anne Moore; and sister Ruth Anne Cooper.

Friends may call on Friday, January 1, 2016 from 2-6 p.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Hannon officiating.
