Obituary for Ray Leonard Luttrell

Ray Leonard  Luttrell
Ray Leonard Luttrell, 80, of Windsor, Kentucky, formerly of Jasper County, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2015. He was born in Casey County, Kentucky on April 2, 1935, son of the late Everett and Lula Luttrell. On February 3, 1958, in Roselawn, he married his wife of 51 years, Peggy Joyce (Cain) Luttrell. She preceded him in death on August 2, 2009. Ray was a farmer and worked in construction, retiring in 2000. He was of the Apostolic Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar and spending time with his grandkids.

Ray is survived by four children: Timothy (Belinda) Luttrell, Jeffrey (Janey) Luttrell, Melonie (John) Igoe, Michael (Kelly) Luttrell; one brother, Curtis (Peggy) Luttrell; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife Peggy; and an infant son, Wilbur.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. with Brother Ron Hause officiating. Interment will follow at DeMotte Cemetery. A funeral luncheon will be held following interment at the Mount Ayr Community Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
