Donald Lincoln “Don” Lunsford, 48, of Earl Park, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born in Gary on June 23, 1966, to Donald Lee and Katie (Musgrave) Lunsford.

Don graduated from Merrillville High School with the class of 1984. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from 1984-1992. He was an EMT stationed in Germany during Operation Desert Storm. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Don worked as a union electrician for IBEW Local #697. He was a past member of the Masons and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Don is survived by his loving family: wife Donna Lunsford of Earl Park; children: Jeremy Lunsford and Amanda Lunsford, both of Wheatfield, Meagan Sexton and Martin Linskey, both of Fowler, and Robert Walker of Frankfort; three granddaughters: Madilyn, Ellie and Myah; his mother Katie Lunsford of DeMotte; and brothers Jeff Lunsford of Roselawn and Jason Lunsford of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Lee Lunsford.

Friends may call on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. (CST) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer.
