Obituary for Samantha Agent

Samantha Dawn Agent, 38, of Fair Oaks, left this world Oct. 19, 2014 to reside in Paradise forever. She led a life of courage, strength, hope and love. Always giving everything she had, she inspired many with her generosity, graciousness and perseverance. She lived her 38 years with purpose and meaning, always striving to accomplish more and devote herself to her family. One of her greatest talents was her ability to bring so many together to celebrate this life. Samantha was always the life of the party with her bright smile, quick wit and genuine personality.

Samantha was born in Liberty, KY on July 12, 1976, the daughter of Barbara (Franklin) Schaefer and the late Michael White. She graduated from Kankakee Valley High School and Don Roberts Beauty College. She was a hairdresser, and had previously worked as a waitress at City Office & Pub and Devon’s Restaurant. She attended the Jubilee Gospel Center in Roselawn, and she enjoyed gardening, camping and party planning.

Samantha is survived by her loving family: children DayLyn Nicolle Hornbeck and Gavin Michael Agent, both at home; her mother, Barbara (Michael) Schaefer of Fair Oaks; two brothers, Bradley White of Fair Oaks and Jimmy (Colleen) Johnson of Rensselaer; two sisters, Ashley Johnson and Jessica Schaefer, both of Fair Oaks; grandparents, Kathryn and Robert Schaefer of Teft; four nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by: her father, Michael White; grandfather, Delmar Franklin; grandmother, Cordie Franklin; and her aunt, Reba Roark.

Friends may call on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. (CDT) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer. A Celebration of Life Service for Samantha will be held Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 at 10 a.m. (CDT) at Steinke Funeral Home of Rensselaer with Pastor John Frye officiating.
