Obituary for Wanda Rose Schanlaub (Green)

Wanda Rose Schanlaub, 86, of Morocco, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014 at Jasper County Hospital. She was born in Goodland on December 27, 1927, daughter of the late Theron Green and Violet (Todd) Green. On June 4, 1944 she married Richard Schanlaub. He preceded her in death in 2007.

Wanda attended Morocco Schools. She was a Homemaker and also worked for George Ade and Permonite. Wanda enjoyed crocheting, playing yahtzee and wrote poetry. She also was good with the computer and enjoyed being ornery.

Wanda is survived by her loving family: children; Robert (Carolyn) Schanlaub of Laughlin, NV, Pat Wynn of Morocco, John Schanlaub of Lafayette, Richard (Becky) Schanlaub of Fowler; eleven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and one brother, James (Kay) Green of Georgetown, IL. She is preceded in death by: her parents, her husband Richard, half brother Ralph Green and a great-grandson Ryan Wynn.

Friends may call on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 10-12:00 noon (CDT) at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (CDT) at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco, with Reverend Wayne Williams officiating. Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice.
