Obituary for Carolyn Wynn (Bowers)

Carolyn Wynn, 89, of Morocco, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 11, 2014 at the Rensselaer Care Center. She was born in Winamac on Oct. 4, 1924, daughter of the late George Bowers, Sr. and Hazel Mae (Heater) Bowers. She graduated from high school in Rochester, IN. On Jan. 6, 1946 she married Alfred Wynn. He preceded her in death in 1980.

Carolyn was a cook for the North Newton School Corp. for 25 years. She was a member of the United Church of Morocco and the Home Economics Club of McClellan Township. She enjoyed crafts and cooking.

Carolyn is survived by her loving family: two sons: Dale Wynn (Nancy) of Morocco and Bill Wynn of Morocco; two daughters: Marcia Porter of Morocco and Judy Kosta of Rensselaer; one brother, James (Loie) Bowers of Rochester; one sister, June Weber of Akron, IN; seven grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; two brothers; and one sister.

Friends may call on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 10 until 1 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home of Morocco with Rev. Thomas D.
