Obituary for Karen K. Widner (Burman)

Karen K.  Widner (Burman)
Karen K. Widner, 66, of Rensselaer, passed away Saturday, June 8th at her residence. She was born in Rensselaer on February 16, 1947, the daughter of Robert Burman and Eda (Hamilton) Burman. Karen was a life long resident of Rensselaer and graduated from Rensselaer High School. She was married to the late Vern Widner.

Karen was a Pharmacy Technician with Fagan Pharmacy and Jasper County Hospital Pharmacy. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church of Rensselaer. She enjoyed spending time on the computer and with her grandkids, baking, and Nascar.

Karen is survived by her loving family: sons, Jeral A. Stone (Jamie) of Brook and Mike E. Stone of Rensselaer; daughter Joetta L. Stone of Rensselaer; four brothers, Roger Burman (Fiance Charlotte) and Randy Burman (Cindy) of Rensselaer; Larry Burman (Marggie) of Alabama, Robert Burman, Jr. (Judy) of South Carolina; one sister, Mary Hawkins (Ray) of Legioneer. Seven grandchildren and three great-granchildren survive.

Friends may call on Friday, June 14th from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the Rensselaer Church of the Nazarene. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family.
